Building Regulations in Wirral
Neil Braithwaite Architect provides architectural services to meet Building Regulations compliance in Wirral and the surrounding areas.
The Building Regulations are national standards for England and Wales which apply to most types of buildings, whether in the home or a commercial development. They are separate to Planning Permission and will often be required even if Planning is not. Building Regulations ensure that the environment in which we all live is a safe and healthy place.
Meeting the Regulations
The Building Regulations includes technical guidance called the "Approved Documents." These are split into parts A to P, and tackle a wide range of constructional issues.
Drawings for building regulations need to show detailed construction information. As well as floor plans and elevations these will include sections, services plans, details, structural calculations and construction notes. Basically, the information required by a builder to build the works. We strongly advise clients to use this level of information when obtaining prices from builders.
Neil Braithwaite Architect Ltd can provide construction specifications and drawings for Building Regulations. With our technical knowledge we can handle the application on your behalf, liaise with Building Control and produce a design to meet the latest regulations.
We can submit for Building Regulations using either the Local Authority Building Control or an Approved Inspector as regulated by the Construction Industry Council.
