About Neil Braithwaite
Neil Braithwaite studied architecture at Liverpool University. After qualifying as an architect in 1999 he settled on the Wirral, working for long standing Liverpool company Ormrod and Partners (who later became DTR Ormrod). He gained experience working in a variety of sectors – from offices to industrial developments and residential projects to technology parks, including the redevelopment of Widnes town centre.
In 2002 he began collaboration with his father's practice, Braithwaite Associates, based in County Durham. There he worked on a variety of projects from industrial manufacturing buildings to commercial residential schemes, many of these located in sensitive conservation areas. Braithwaite Associates were also retained as the architect for a national nursing care company and Neil gained experience in providing extension and renovation solutions for the healthcare sector.
Neil Braithwaite Architect Limited was formed in 2008 to serve a growing base of domestic clients and also an evolving venture into commercial retail work. This led to projects throughout the UK and into Europe.
